Welcoming Dr. Carlan Stants to Kanata North Family Chiropractic

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Carlan Stants to the team at Kanata North Family Chiropractic.

With more than 35 years of clinical experience, Dr. Stants brings advanced expertise in the assessment and management of neuromusculoskeletal conditions, rehabilitation, and persistent pain. His addition expands the specialized services available to patients and strengthens our commitment to providing comprehensive, collaborative care.

Dr. Stants completed his undergraduate and graduate education in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa before earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in Toronto. He went on to complete a three-year Fellowship in Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation and later completed a Graduate School Certification in Pain Management through the University of Alberta.

Throughout his career, Dr. Stants has balanced clinical practice with education. He previously served on faculty at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, teaching Orthopaedic Assessment and Diagnosis, and continues to provide post-graduate education in rehabilitation. He is also a member of the Ontario Ministry of Health's ECHO Ontario Chronic Pain and Opioid Stewardship Program, where he helps educate primary care practitioners on evidence-informed approaches to chronic pain management and patient self-management strategies.

Dr. Stants is the only Chiropractic Physical and Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist practicing in Eastern Ontario. His extensive training and experience allow him to provide advanced assessment and rehabilitation for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to help patients achieve their individual goals.

Outside of practice, Dr. Stants enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and camping.
