REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY (RMT) in Kanata
Therapeutic massage that meets you where you are.
Muscle tension, persistent aches and the physical demands of everyday life can make it harder to feel comfortable in your body. Massage therapy can be one way to address that discomfort, support movement and make time for your own well-being.
At KNFChiro, our registered massage therapists tailor each appointment to your needs, preferences and goals. Whether you're dealing with tight shoulders, soreness after activity or simply need some time to unwind, we'll work with you to make your session useful and comfortable.
Registered massage therapy in Kanata North.
What brings people to massage therapy?
There are lots of reasons to book a massage. You might be looking for help with:
Neck, shoulder or back tension
Muscle soreness and discomfort
Stiffness that makes everyday movement uncomfortable
Physical demands from work, exercise or repetitive activities
Managing stress and making time to relax
Supporting your comfort and mobility as part of an active lifestyle
You don't need to have a specific problem to book. We'll discuss what you're looking for and tailor your treatment accordingly.
Massage tailored to you
No two appointments need to be the same. Your massage therapist will discuss your concerns, preferences and goals before treatment begins.
Depending on your needs, treatment may include Swedish massage, deeper pressure, myofascial techniques or other approaches suited to your needs. Your therapist will check in about pressure and comfort throughout the session, and you can ask for adjustments at any time.
You don't have to tolerate pressure that feels uncomfortable for treatment to be worthwhile. The goal is to find an approach that works for you.
Massage therapy can also complement other care when appropriate. If you see another practitioner at KNFChiro, we can coordinate care when useful, with your preferences guiding the process.
Meet our massage therapists
Hannah Ponton, RMT
Available Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
Hannah graduated with honours from Algonquin College's Massage Therapy program. She offers an individualized approach to treatment, drawing on techniques that include Swedish massage, deep tissue work, myofascial release and manual lymphatic drainage.
Hannah takes the time to understand what each person needs from their appointment, whether that's addressing muscle tension, working towards more comfortable movement, managing activity-related discomfort or simply making space to relax.
Mike Gray, RMT
Available Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays
Mike graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1997 and spent six years teaching massage therapy before joining the clinic in 2003. He brings extensive experience to his practice and has been a familiar part of the clinic for many years.
His appointments are tailored to each client's needs, with a focus on providing thoughtful, individualized massage therapy.
What to expect at your appointment
Your appointment starts with a conversation about what has been bothering you, what you'd like to get out of treatment and any preferences or concerns you want your therapist to know about.
Your therapist will explain the proposed approach and answer your questions before treatment begins. You can discuss pressure, areas you'd like addressed and any areas you'd prefer to avoid. Your comfort, consent and privacy remain important throughout the session.
After treatment, your therapist may offer suggestions relevant to your concerns. There's no expectation that every appointment will follow the same routine; your treatment can change as your needs change.
Ready to book?
